Zine Rules
Rules will be updated/extended as we get closer to contributor apps:1. To apply as a contributor, you have to be 18 or older. As this is a physical zine, we will eventually need to mail you the products.2. You need to have a Discord account or be willing to create one. Discord will be used for all zine-related communication and coordination.3. All submissions must be your own original creations. We do not accept AI-generated content, reposts/previously-made work, tracing, plagiarism, or any other form of copyright infringement. Contributors found to be engaging in this will be removed from the project.4. Please refrain from posting your work (sketch, lineart, snippets etc.) publicly until after the zine has finished production and all copies have been distributed.5. Please ensure that the submitted portfolio is accessible to the mod team. You can check this by opening your link in an incognito browser tab!6. Outside activities may affect your contributor application.

Hi, I'm Liv (better known as parormisi)!! I've loved DC Comics and specifically the batfamily for years, and reading their comics is what inspired me to draw in the first place!! I am the head mod, but please be patient with me since this is my first time hosting or being in a zine style project 🙏I am an artist alley vendor ordinarily so I have experience with sourcing products and manufacturers, as well as smaller scale collaborative projects, so this is a big challenge for me and I look forward to seeing it come to life!

What is a fanzine?
A fanzine is an unofficial collection of fan works including fanart and writing based on a pre-existing work. In this case, based off of DC Comic's Batman and associated comics.What type of content will be featured in the deck?
This is a SFW deck, aimed at being appropriate for all ages. Some slight suggestiveness may be allowed depending on the pitch.There will be NO Batcest between Bruce's children in the deck. Some ships that are not between siblings are fine (eg. Dick/Babs).Is this zine for charity?
No, it is for profit which will be distributed amongst contributors at the end of the zine.Is there an age limit for contributors and moderators?
Yes, all contributors and moderators must be at least 18 years old.Do you need prior zine or tarot experience to apply?
No, not at all! You just need to be able to create full illustrations within the given timeframe.Can I apply for more than one role?
Yes! You can apply for more than one role, but please note that you will only be selected for one of them.How will the contributors be compensated?
All contributors are, at the minimum, guaranteed free access to the full digital bundle of the zine and tarot cards.Whatever profits are made from the zine will be distributed equally among contributors or can be exchanged for physical bundle discounts/copies (depending on profit made).The possibility of physical compensation will be dependent on sales as the physical zine compilation of tarot art and writing will be a sales stretch goal.Will contributors be allowed to collaborate?
Yes, they will! Writers will collaborate with card artists to write complimentary write-ups for each card.How many contributors will be in the zine?
We will have ~40 contributors, across artists, merch artists and writers (including contributing moderators).Will there be pinch hitters / fill-in / backup creators?
Yes! Pinch hitters were accepted during the application period and will be contacted should any accepted contributors drop out.What is the creation process like?
Upon acceptance, contributors will pitch several ideas to the mod team. Ideas approved by the mod team will be the ones which contributors will create.
